Pancake Eating Contest

Pancakes and fresh maple syrup is the best springtime remedy for "cabin fever."

Marathon, NY will have no shortage of either.

THE TWO-DAY WEEKEND EVENT SLATED FOR SATURDAY, APRIL 5 AND SUNDAY, April 6 IS A CELEBRATION OF SPRING AND THE SUGARING TIMES.

The 12th Annual Pancake Contest will kick-off the weekend's activities at 9a.m. sharp on Saturday in the High School Auditorium.

This 15-minute contest will show visitors some techniques involved in becoming a connoisseur of the beloved "pancakes and maple syrup".

This year the contestants will eat for non-profit organizations.

Pledges have been solicited per pancake by these organizations.

The Maple Festival committee has pledged $2 a pancake eaten. "This is just a celebration of spring, maple syrup, and the family".

We invite everyone to join us as we kick off the festival with a good old-fashioned contest.
